About Alex B. Jones

Meet Alex B. Jones

For Alex B. Jones, serving the community isn’t a choice—it’s a calling. Raised in a family of teachers, ministers and public servants, Alex grew up watching his parents, both educators, who lived to serve not only their students but their family and community as a whole. That spirit of service runs deep in his veins.

Alex's story began right here in Atlanta, where his family has lived for over 150 years. From his grandfather, who fought for civil rights, to another who served as a leader for Georgia Veterans, Alex learned early on that we can disagree without creating division—and that real leadership means bringing people together to solve real problems.

Alex’s Accomplishments

Leadership Rooted in Real Life

  • Alex doesn’t pretend to have all the answers. But he listens, he shows up and he works tirelessly to get things done. His priorities reflect lived experience—not talking points.

  • Whether it’s fighting for safer neighborhoods, protecting renters, supporting teachers or fixing our public health systems, Alex brings both empathy and action to the table.

  • I don’t want to die with money in the bank. I want to die surrounded by people who say, "Thank you, Alex. You made a difference."

  • Atlanta is more than where Alex lives—it’s who he is. And now, he’s ready to give everything he’s got to help Atlanta live up to its promise—for all of us.
